Hello everyone!
Thought I'd show you some of my favorite creepy creatures from Etsy.
First, the Chattergrub from Tinplate Studios:

This guy is just horrifically wonderful. I feel like if I had him on my shelf I would alternate between thinking it was adorable and having nightmares of it burrowing into my brain. Which is all you can hope for in a monster, really.

Next, Gui from Eliza Bolli:

Gui is just beautiful, and I love the grub / caterpillar shape.

Last but not least is Murphyelago from Sandra Arteaga

He's wearing a suit, and he comes with a suitcase. Just adorable. I love bat faces, and when tiny monsters have tiny pairs of pants on. What can I say, I love a well-dressed gentlemonster.
Well that's all for today, I'm working on expanding my demon horde:

Keep it creepy! xx The Beast Peddler

Hi everyone-
We had some paranormal activity of a sort at the enchanted cottage the past couple days! A possession, lots of dancing. You know the kind I'm talking about!
Anyway, meet Morsa Rojo! Here's the story:
One night, the Beast Peddler was awake way past her bedtime drawing up plans for new beasts. She was getting pretty drowsy. It was quiet in the enchanted cottage and she could hear Hagatha doing some sort of magic in the other room. Suddenly, there was a loud "BOOM" and the power went out for a moment. As it came back on, the Beast Peddler could sense she was no longer alone. She continued with her drawing though, figuring that Hagatha would sort it out. Then she yawned, a huge yawn that opened her mouth wide and forced her eyes shut. Just as her eyes were closing, she thought she saw something move in front of her. Then she blacked out.
The next morning, the Beast Peddler woke up in her bed surrounded by beasts. Hagatha was leaning over her, dabbing her brow with a camp towel. The Beast Peddler sat up slowly, looking around her. Her sketchbook was lying on her desk, open where she had left it. How did she get into bed?
"What .... happened?"
"You were possessed... briefly. I was communing with a few spirits and one decided it was going to let itself in. I have it contained now, but it was ... in you for a while."
"Oh dear... did I do anything harmful?" Hagatha looked vaguely uncomfortable for a moment, and when the Beast Peddler looked over at the beasts, they all looked like they were trying to keep themselves from breaking into hysterics. Hagatha turned, picked something up off of the bedside table, and handed it to her. It was a photograph.
As it registered with the Beast Peddler what she was looking at, the beasts couldn't take it anymore. They just about cracked up. They laughed, chortled, rolled on the ground holding their bellies. They laughed so hard that they cried.
The Beast Peddler sewed a new beast for the spirit to live in- Morsa Rojo. He loves to dance. He shakes his little tush, jumps on the bed and sings loudly in Spanish. Oh, he really gets into it too- you'll never see a dance like his. Unless, of course, you see the photo that Hagatha took that night. Then you can see the Beast Peddler doing that very dance.

I've been doing nothing but sewing & planning Hallow-Birthday-Ween! The Prince this morning reminded me that "it's only August" but I just can't help myself! Anyway, we've got 100 raffle tickets being printed right now, and I'm planning a few giveaways as well. I can't wait!

keep it creepy, friends!

Well hi there!
A bunch of new beasties up today, and more sitting pretty on the couch waiting to get their pictures taken! Plus, even though I know it's only August but I'm already planning this year's Hallow-Birthday-Ween Celebration! The beasts are really excited.
So anyway, here are, in order, The Blue Meanie, Greta Hagglehair, Petey Paddletail, and Flapjack the Floppy.
