Hi everyone!

So, as you have no doubt noticed, the blog has been horribly neglected as of late. I underestimated how busy I would be this month! Lots and lots of custom beasts have been going out. I hope that you're all doing lots of spooky stuff for October! I've got a load of raffle tickets to hand-stitch and send out, so entertain yourselves with this little creepy playlist!

Alternately, you could just listen to the album Fur and Gold from Bat for Lashes, because every song on it is dreadfully wonderful.

I promise I'll try and bring you all some more Hallow-Birthday-Ween goodies soon.
Keep it creepy!

Hello friends!

Today's Halloween goodness is the Skeleton Dance from Disney. My sister and I used to watch this all the time back in the old country, whether it was October or not! On VHS to boot!

Probably my favorite thing Disney has ever done. I showed it to the beasts and they keep playing it over and over, drumming on each others' vertebrae and all the table lamps.

Enjoy!

Also, meet our first celebratory HBW beast, Phillip Olivier Pumpkinnamon!

SO CUTE :D
Origin story? Yes:
On the eve of HallowBirthdayWeen, the Beast Peddler was feeling particularly spooky. The wind was blowing outside, Ghostbusters was on the television, and it was almost October first. What could she have possibly sewn but a little pumpkin beast? Nestled on the couch with Hagatha on one side and the smaller beasts cozied up in any cranny they could find, she sewed carefully, folding the little crooked smile and pushing stuffing into his tiny legs. When she was done, the Beast Peddler handed the small, plump beast to Hagatha, but the great beast shook her head.
"Not tonight," Hagatha said quietly. "The spirit of Halloween itself will bring him to life. Be patient, you'll see."
So the Beast Peddler sat quietly with Phillip in her lap, watching Ghostbusters and listening to her family of creatures discuss their plans for the HallowBirthdayWeen party while the almost-October wind blew outside. Suddenly, all the beasts looked up at the window all at once. A cloud passed over the moon and shrouded them in darkness. A moment later, when the room was illuminated again, Phillip Olivier Pumpkinnamon was looking up at the moon as well.
In a small voice, he cleared his throat and asked a question.

"Am I invited to the party?"

Of course you are , Phillip!
Have a great night everyone!!
